1. Appointments

You have several convenient options:

For most of my treatments, clients need to be 16 years of age or older. If you are under 16, please contact me directly, and we can discuss potential options with a parent or guardian present.

For booking and general enquiries, please use the online booking form, text/WhatsApp, email, or DM on Instagram or Facebook. Please do not call, as I am often with clients and unable to answer. Using the written methods ensures I can give your query my full attention and respond efficiently.

To avoid disappointment, I recommend booking at least one week in advance. While I’ll do my best to accommodate last-minute requests, availability may be limited.

To ensure you get the most from your treatment, specific preparation may be required depending on your booked service. For example, you may need to wash your hands and/or feet, take a shower, or arrive completely makeup-free. I will provide any specific instructions relevant to your service at the time of booking. If you are unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask when booking or prior to your visit.

I allocate specific time for each treatment and preparation. To help ensure a smooth and relaxing experience for everyone, please aim to arrive exactly at your scheduled appointment time. Arriving a little too early can sometimes disrupt the flow, so your punctuality is greatly appreciated. Arriving just on time is perfect!

This is a great opportunity for me to understand any allergies or health conditions that might be relevant to your treatment, so please feel comfortable sharing any necessary information. I’ll make sure your experience is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, with complimentary drinks and aftercare advice included in selected treatments.

Once we’ve decided on your fabulous vision, we’ll begin your pampering nail transformation.

If you’ve booked a massage or facial, we’ll start with a brief consultation to discuss your specific needs and preferences. This will help me tailor the treatment to provide you with the most beneficial and relaxing experience possible. Following the consultation, we’ll move on to your treatment.

Throughout your time with me, please know that maintaining the highest standards of hygiene is always a top priority. You can relax and feel confident that everything is clean and prepared for your comfort and well-being.

Enhancements are little extras you can add to your main treatment to boost the benefits and create an even more indulgent experience. Think of them as the sprinkles on top of your lovely treat!

For example, you can have an additional mini massage to your manicure or pedicure, and recharge your batteries within 10-15 minutes.

For massages, aromatherapy can make a real difference in helping you achieve your relaxation and energising goals, or a hydrating hand or foot mask can leave your hands and feet feeling incredibly soft.

Adding 24k gold to your facial treatment leaves your already hydrated and soft skin glowing extra.

Ask me about the enhancements available with your chosen service when you book – I’m happy to help you create a truly memorable and beneficial experience.

I want you to feel completely comfortable during your appointment. Whether you prefer a peaceful and silent treatment to fully relax, or you enjoy a friendly chat while I work, the choice is entirely yours. Please feel free to let me know your preference at the beginning of your service, and I will be happy to tailor the atmosphere to ensure you have the most enjoyable experience possible.

I typically play a selection of calming and easy-listening lounge music, which often includes gentle covers of popular songs, smooth jazz, or house. I find this creates a relaxing and uplifting atmosphere that doesn’t distract from your service. It’s also the kind of music I enjoy listening to throughout the day!

For facial and massage appointments, the default music I choose is typically spa music, which is specifically designed for relaxation.

However, if you have a different preference for your music during any treatment, please feel free to let me know when you make your booking or at the start of your appointment. Letting me know during the booking is particularly helpful, as it allows me to prepare and ensure a smoother and more enjoyable treatment for you. I’ll certainly do my best to accommodate your request where possible.

While I’ll always do my best to be flexible, please let me know as soon as possible if you’re considering a different service. If the new service takes a similar amount of time, I’ll happily try to accommodate you. However, if it requires different preparation or takes longer, we may need to reschedule, and the original service booked will be charged.

Yes! Gift vouchers are available for purchase and are perfect for treating someone special. You can order them on my Gift Vouchers page.

At this time, I do not offer group bookings.

2. Services

I provide a range of nail services, including manicures, pedicures, gel polish application, nail extensions, and nail art.

I offer a range of massage treatments tailored to your individual needs, focusing on both relaxation and energising experiences. My approach is a fusion one, blending techniques from various massage styles to create a truly rejuvenating and personalised session. This ensures you leave feeling refreshed and revitalised.

To enhance your massage experience, you can choose from a selection of optional add-ons:

* Aromatherapy: Infuse your massage with essential oils to promote deeper relaxation or invigorate your senses.
* Hand and Foot Mask: Indulge in a nourishing treatment for your hands and feet, leaving them soft and hydrated.
* LED Light Therapy: Incorporate the benefits of LED light therapy to promote skin rejuvenation and overall well-being.

I use high-quality brands like Lola Lee, Glitterbels and Kaeso, with a focus on hypoallergenic products. For detailed product information, please contact me directly.

Treatment durations vary: a manicure can take between 45 – 90 minutes, a pedicure up to 90 minutes, and massage options range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.

I’m pleased to offer a 7-day guarantee on the Queen and Cleopatra gel polish options! This guarantee means that if you experience any chipping or peeling of your gel polish within 7 days of your appointment, please get in touch, and I’ll be happy to arrange a complimentary touch-up to ensure your nails look their best.

Absolutely! I believe that proper aftercare is essential for maintaining the best results from your treatment, and I want you to get the most out of your visit. For selected services, you’ll receive a complimentary aftercare kit with everything you need to look after your lovely new manicure and pedicure. I’ll also provide you with clear and easy-to-follow tips and advice to help you enjoy your results for as long as possible. And of course, I’m always here if you have any follow-up questions!

3. General

Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary is based at 22 Railway Street, Altrincham, WA14 2RE – a peaceful haven for all your beauty needs.

Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

I accept cash, all major credit/debit cards, Google Pay/Apple Pay, direct bank transfer, and QR code payments via mobile.

I do not have private parking. Public parking is available in nearby car parks and on-street (pay & display Mon-Sat, 9am-5pm; free outside of these hours). Please adhere to local council parking regulations.

Unfortunately, my salon is located on the 2nd floor and is not wheelchair accessible.

4. Bookings, Deposits & Cancellations

    • Bookings made more than 48 hours in advance: A 50% deposit of the total appointment fee is required.
    • Bookings made less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours in advance: Full payment of the appointment fee is required.
    • Bookings made less than 24 hours in advance: Full payment of the appointment fee is required immediately upon booking.

You’ll receive a secure payment link via your preferred contact method (email, text, or WhatsApp) immediately after you request a booking.

To confirm your chosen slot, payment (either deposit or full amount, as applicable) must be made within 2 hours of receiving your booking confirmation and payment link. If payment isn’t received within this 2-hour window, the slot will be released and may be offered to other clients without further notice.

Your appointment is only confirmed once the required payment has been successfully processed. You’ll receive a separate confirmation once this is complete.

Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary accepts payments securely via Google Pay, Apple Pay, bank transfer, and all major credit/debit cards.

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your appointment: You’ll receive a full refund of any payment made.
  • Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before your appointment:
    • 50% of the total appointment fee will be retained as a cancellation charge.
    • If you initially paid a 50% deposit, this deposit becomes non-refundable.
    • If you made full payment, 50% of the total fee will be refunded to you.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment, or no-shows: The full payment (100% of the total appointment fee) is non-refundable.

Please note: The timestamp of your message (text, WhatsApp, or email) will be considered the official notification time of your cancellation or reschedule request, not the time of my response. Rest assured that your request will be processed based on when you sent it.

Refunds are typically processed within 2 business days of approval. However, please allow an additional 5-7 working days for the refund to be credited to your account, as this depends on your bank or card issuer’s internal processing procedures.

Yes, you can. If you need to reschedule your appointment and provide more than 48 hours’ notice, your existing deposit will be transferred to your new booking.

If you reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the cancellation policy above will apply, and a new deposit or full payment may be required for the new booking.

Any deposit paid will be deducted from your final balance on the day of your appointment.

To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary as soon as possible via your usual communication channel (email, text, or WhatsApp). Please ensure you receive a confirmation of your cancellation or reschedule from me.

While this policy is firm, Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary understands that truly exceptional circumstances can arise. In such rare cases, Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary reserves the right to review and make discretionary adjustments to this policy.

5. Salon polices & Important Information

If you anticipate running late, please notify Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary as soon as possible via your usual communication channel. While I will always do my best to accommodate, please understand that your service may be shortened to avoid impacting the next client’s appointment, and the full service fee will still apply. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment, and the relevant cancellation policy will be applied.

For your safety and the best treatment outcome, it is crucial to inform Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary of any medical conditions, allergies, medications, or sensitivities you have at the time of booking or upon arrival. This includes, but is not limited to, pregnancy, skin conditions, known reactions to products, or recent treatments. All information will be kept strictly confidential. Your honesty allows me to tailor your service safely and effectively.

Yes, Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary reserves the right to refuse or terminate service to any client exhibiting inappropriate, disrespectful, or aggressive behaviour. I also reserve this right if I believe the requested service may pose a risk to your health or safety, or if any behaviour impacts the comfort and safety of anyone at the salon.

Your satisfaction is of utmost importance to me. If you have any concerns or are dissatisfied with your service, please notify Mia’s Beauty Sanctuary within 48 hours of your appointment. You can do this via your usual communication channel (email, text, or WhatsApp). This allows me to address the issue promptly, and work towards a satisfactory resolution. Your feedback is highly valued and helps me improve.

All prices and services are subject to change without prior notice. While I endeavour to keep my online information current, I will always aim to communicate any significant changes in advance. Please confirm the latest pricing and service details when booking your appointment.
